Sometimes the obvious is obscured…
It happens most times at the gym. Someone hops on to the treadmill next to me and I find myself wanting to run faster, longer and/or more intensely. I consider it a curse and a blessing and sometimes I really need the incentive to push harder in an otherwise off day.
Pushing yourself to the limit takes intensity; pushing yourself beyond what you think you’re even capable of…the mind gives up before the body. Fitness for me includes lifting iron a.k.a. bodybuilding a.k.a pumping iron. If you have never looked like this, be it running, lifting iron, training in general…you may not be doing it right! Apply intensity; achieve results.
…stay healthy my friends.
I always get that “Deer in the Headlight” look when I try to explain the difference to those interested in working off some weight.
Unfortunately, I have to do a lot of running indoor and on a treadmill; it is what it is, but yeah it’s kinda like that…
Where there is a will, there is a way…this applies to all aspects of life from fitness – to health – to everyday necessity.
Bitter-sweet reality…with a dose of sad honesty!
